SAFETY ASSURANCE

UHH Services takes the safety of their clients and the public very seriously. Good working practices and a general awareness is essential while on or around any workplace. We have our own strict safety program in place that every employee must complete in addition to IWCA training programs. Ours is a constantly changing industry that requires perpetual review of methods and equipment.
You can rest assured UHH will always keep abreast of the latest cleaning techniques and equipment through IWCA training courses, seminars and ANSI guidelines.

Equipment:

UHH Services only uses OSHA and ANSI approved equipment. All equipment is inspected at the beginning and end of every work day. All tools (buckets, squeegees, washers, scrapers) are secured to the worker at all times when using bosuns chairs (controlled descent devices). This tool line does not exceed 5 foot in length.
There are more accidents involving ladders than any other method of cleaning windows. Any equipment that shows any signs of fatigue or excessive wear is addressed and replaced immediately.

Exposure:

We include copies of our more than adequate insurance with every job proposal.
In addition to the industry standard General Liability policy, we have just increased our coverage to include a 1 mil. excessive liability policy.
UHH Services exceeds municipal requirements for window cleaning when working in areas that are exposed to the public. All UHH Services owners and employees have completed a City of Chicago Scaffolding and Bosuns Chair training course and carry an identification card that is required by the City of Chicago.
While working in any traffic area, UHH Services uses caution barricades and construction tape to completely secure a 10-15 foot perimeter around any area that is exposed to the public.
Our signage clearly states our name and the caution at hand. In an instance were an employee feels the barricades and construction tape is ineffective, UHH will schedule work during times when there is less public traffic or have an employee personally direct safe passage for the  public.

Environment and Pollution:

UHH only uses environmentally safe cleaning solutions that are 100% biodegradable.
